Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company shortly after. Corcoran was one of the first Shark Tank investors. She was a regular on every episode of ABC's Shark Tank. Corcoran has been involved in 53 deals since February 2020. The biggest was a $350,000 purchase to pay for 40% of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second in the family of 10 children who was born in Edgewater. Florence, her mother was an errand-taker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented employee throughout Corcoran's childhood. Her family was sometimes dependent on the food provided by the local grocer who would deliver free food. Corcoran says her father was a drunken man who treated her mother with disrespectful and condescension. Corcoran was a troubled student in school. She later discovered that she had dyslexia. Corcoran was a student at a Catholic primary school within her area and began the high school year in St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran was absent from several classes in her first year and transferred to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
